Types of TOEIC questions Part 4 An expository passage is a question in which you listen to a short passage and select the appropriate answer to a question on the question paper from four views. The texts are categorized according to their content: telephone messages, broadcasts, advertisements, notices, news reports, excerpts from meetings, etc. Some questions are supplemented with diagrams or graphs.
Before you get to the description, you should read the fingerprint, have a rough idea of what it's about, and remember a few keywords.

The speaker introduces themselves, provides details about the purpose of the message, and makes a request of the listener.
